Stickfix sandpaper uses hard wearing velvet fabric to securely attach to the T-shaped hooks on Festool sanders. Stickfix paper is durable and holds without slipping.

Festool Sandpaper Abrasive Types

E-weight paper, hardened aluminum oxide & ceramic abrasive, stearate coating, open bond	Versatile, general purpose abrasive for use on wood & finished surfaces. Granat is Festool’s most versatile abrasive. Use it for wood, solid surface tops and finishes. This is the best choice for most woodworkers. Available in grits 40-1500. (Some paper sizes are not available in all grits)
Hardened aluminum oxide & ceramic abrasive bonded to a mesh substrate	Versatile mesh abrasive use on materials that generate a lot of dust. Festool’s versatile Granat abrasive applied to a mesh backing for maximum dust collection efficiency. Available in grits 80-400. Please Note: With Granat Net abrasives, you must use a Protection Pad between the abrasive and the sander pad.
E-weight paper, aluminum oxide abrasive, semi-open coat, open bond	Fast, efficient sanding of bare wood. For fast stock removal and surface preparation of raw wood and unfinished wood products like plywood, particleboard & MDF. Available in grits 40-220. (Some paper sizes are not available in all grits) The 2nd most popular choice for woodworkers. -->
Fabric-reinforced backing, aluminum oxide abrasive, semi-closed coat, closed bond	Aggressive sanding, stock removal & stripping thick coatings. Saphir is Festool’s toughest paper. It’s designed for extreme grinding jobs on wood, paint, plastic, fiberglass and even concrete and steel. Its fabric reinforced backing resists tearing even at the edges.
Non-woven elastic fiber mat, aluminum oxide & silicon carbide abrasives	Surface cleaning, rust removal & scuffing finishes. Vlies is a non-woven abrasive pad similar to 3M Scotchbrite®. Available in 320 grit and 2 polishing grits.
Foam-fiber backing, silicon-carbide abrasive, stearate coating, open bond	High grit abrasive for sanding to a high gloss. With its foam-fiber backing, Platin 2 is designed for polishing finishes & solid surface countertop material, plus feathering auto-body fillers in preparation for paint. It can also be used to polish plastics and fiberglass. Available in grits 400, 500, 1000, 2000 & 4000.
