Flexcut Back Bent Palm Chisel  – 7/8 inch

We stock both palm chisels and full-size Flexcut tools. Palm chisels are shorter in length, with the cutting edge closer to the controlling hand you will have tighter control over your carving. Flexcut’s palm chisels are 5″ long overall, with 3″ blades. The regular tools have 4-1/2″ blades with an 8″ overall length. These fixed handled palm tools have ergonomic solid Ash handles and are constructed of high carbon steel.

Back-bent chisel gouges are used for carving convex surfaces without leaving as many tool marks as a flat chisel or shallow gouge, creating a much smoother finish for sanding and clean-up. A good example is a ball and claw chair leg.
