Lime Wood Spoon Carving Blank

Interested in carving spoons, but don’t have many tools? This blank will eliminate the need for a saw or axe and you can dive in with only a few tools – like a gouge, hook knife and straight knife. It’s similar to the blank included with our Narex Spoon Carving starter Kit , but a little less refined.

European Lime Wood (otherwise known as Linden or common Lime) is a light, smooth-textured wood that is easily workable. It’s a relative of American Basswood and has similar properties. The blanks are approximately 255mm long x 55mm wide x 30mm thick (10-1/6″ x 2-3/16″ x 1-3/16″) and rough cut in the outline of a spoon.
