Tajima Ink-Rite Snap Line

The Ink-Rite is a modern interpretation of the Japanese sumitsubo or ink line.The sumitsubo works similarly to western chalk lines, but is capable of much finer work.Because ink can saturate a much thinner line than chalk, the resulting mark is small, crisp and easy to read.The resulting marks are quite smudge resistant.

Our ink line comes in a sealed plastic body and won’t leak like traditional wooden versions.So, it’s safe to store in your tool box.Ink is resupplied through a trap door and is stored in a reservoir sponge.An adjustable tension spring keeps the string taut during use and retracts it after the line has been popped.Includes 25′ of string.
