This simple jig holds a 6″, 8″ or 10″ mill bastard file (file not included) precisely perpendicular to a fence face, making it a snap to file scraper edges square or to joint the teeth on a handsaw properly before resharpening. A second fence tilted at 45° is for sharpening the blades of handled scrapers such as the Stanley No. 80.
